Child & Adolescent Therapy
We provide one to one counselling for children and adolescents. When children or adolescents are going through a difficult time, such as family troubles or problems in school, talking to a counsellor will support them through this difficult time.
Disordered Eating
We are seeing an increase in men and women, young and old, who become anxiously preoccupied with body image and weight control. This can have an alarmingly negative effect on a person’s functioning, quality of life and self-esteem.
Gender Identity
For a person struggling with gender issues counselling can be an overwhelming experience. Many trans individuals have been misunderstood, and experienced isolation, discrimination and abuse due to their internal gender struggle.
Perinatal Mental Health
Postnatal depression is the term used for depression that some women experience in the first year after having a baby. Symptoms may start as baby blues and then get worse. The symptoms may take some time to develop and may be most obvious when your baby is 4 to 6 months old.
Relationship Therapy
Couples and relationships are exposed to more and more pressures and stresses today as we all aware. Society is constantly on the move. This can lead to worries and anxiety relating to emotional issues, financial concerns, social and sexual issues that ultimately affect both partners in a relationship.
Sexual Difficulties
Sexual difficulties are very common and can cause a great deal of anxiety and distress. Psychosexual Therapy can help if a person has difficulty with sexual intimacy, sexual function, drive and desire and if they would like to simply increase their understanding of their sexual choices.
Suicide and Self Harm
Self-harm is a very common problem, and many people struggle to deal with it. Perhaps you feel or have felt the need to harm yourself. Perhaps you have been self-harming for some time. Or maybe you have a friend, or family member who is self-harming and you want to learn more to help them.

Addiction
Addiction is when we are doing anything obsessively in our lives. Some addictions are more harmful than others ie alcohol, drugs, gambling and overeating. There are many more addictions. Often these things have over taken our lives and appear to control a lot of how we live. Addiction is usually the covering up of…
Anxiety
Anxiety is a normal response to threatening situations – however anxious feelings can also produce unpleasant side-effects such as sweating, tension, panic attacks and avoidant behaviour.
Depression
Depression affects many of us yet it is still difficult to talk about in Irish society. Unfortunately through this silence, the very acute pain that each individual experiences is lost…
